Job description

Description:

The Carter Mario Law Firm offers law school students the opportunity to learn the legal process of personal injury cases. Internships may be paid or unpaid for academic credit, depending on the student and law school requirements. We host interns year-round on a full-time or part-time basis. Successful internships may lead to an employment offer after admission to the Connecticut Bar.

Working with our talented attorney teams, interns participate in hands-on work that builds legal knowledge, interpersonal skills, and professional development. Each day, interns strengthen transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. Typical activities include legal research, drafting documents, participating in case review meetings and special projects, observing depositions and mediations, and attending court proceedings.

The information students learn in a classroom environment is enhanced when applied to a real-world professional setting. Our Interns receive training, coaching, guidance, and feedback throughout their time with us. We enjoy helping interns gain knowledge and skills to prepare them for a successful career as an attorney.

Requirements:
  • Must be a current Law Student.
  • This position is based in Milford, Connecticut and requires interns to work onsite at this location.
