We are seeking an experienced casualty claims professional to join our team as a Senior Claims Representative. The position will work a hybrid schedule in our downtown office in Tulsa, Oklahoma, or Cincinnati, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial general liability, including small to medium-sized construction defect losses, and commercial auto claims throughout the United States.

  • Investigate claims to evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and claim exposure.

  • Obtain and analyze policies, reports, statements, medical records, expert opinions, and other documentation necessary to evaluate and resolve claims.

  • Develop and execute effective claim resolution, settlement, and reserving strategies within assigned authority.

  • Analyze and negotiate settlements to achieve appropriate claim outcomes.

  • Communicate coverage positions and claim decisions to insureds, claimants, brokers, legal counsel, and business partners.

  • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, settlement conferences, and trials as needed.

  • Authorize payments within delegated authority and ensure timely and accurate claim handling.

  • Maintain complete and accurate claim documentation, correspondence, reports, and settlement records.

  • Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, risk engineering, and other internal partners to strengthen customer relationships and improve business results.

  • Serve as a resource on casualty claims handling, coverage analysis, litigation management, and settlement strategies.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Generally, 5+ years of commercial casualty claims handling experience.

  • Experience handling commercial general liability and/or commercial auto claims.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of policy interpretation, coverage analysis, reserving practices, and litigation management.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience handling claims arising from construction, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, contracting, transportation, or other complex commercial casualty exposures.

  • Experience managing catastrophic injury, fatality, large-loss, or complex litigation matters.

  • Experience attending mediations, settlement conferences, depositions, and trials.

  • Experience developing and executing claim resolution strategies on complex casualty matters.

  • Professional designation such as CPCU, AIC, ARM, or progress toward designation preferred.
