RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Legal Intern will assist with a variety of legal projects, which are expected to include: 

  • legal research on licensing and patent infringement/enforcement issues 

  • analyses of the patent litigation landscape and litigation prep 

  • assisting with license compliance matters 

  • assisting business in understanding contractual requirements and applicable legal landscape 

  • developing and implementing improved policies and processes for the legal department  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong interest in patents and intellectual property law 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills 

  • Attention to detail 

  • Positive and professional attitude, including dependability and timeliness  

  • Ability to research legal and business issues and learn new concepts quickly 

  • Experience with online research tools, as well as Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and Bloomberg

Eligibility: 

Working towards a graduate law degree (JD or LLM) at an accredited law school with a strong academic record; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday for 6 months between September 2026- December 2026. 

Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible) 

  • September 21, 2026 

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $55-62/hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
