Job description

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Legal Operations Associate to support our dynamic legal team. This role is critical in keeping our operations running smoothly across the globe. This position reports to the Director of Legal Operations and works closely with our commercial attorney on a variety of matters—serving as the primary point of contact for our global commercial and corporate teams on legal operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Department Coordination

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for legal requests, manages intakes and directs inquiries to the appropriate legal team member.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding legal processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver necessary materials to ensure timely and accurate responses to internal and external inquiries.
  • Prepare and provide training on legal functions and processes for our global team.
  • Support legal and compliance departments with other administrative & substantive responsibilities upon request


Contract Drafting & Management

  • Manage template agreements and support contract drafting for U.S. and international commercial team, as well as NDA preparation and general consulting, supply and services template preparation
  • Maintains global contract databases, ensuring proper filing, organization and documentation of agreements
  • Responsible for the collection, organization, and coordination of commercial request for proposals documentation for commercial sales transactions


Legal Technology & Software Administration

  • Administers and optimizes legal technology tools, including contract database
  • Assists with projects aimed at streamlining legal workflows and improving departmental processes


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (pre-law, legal studies, business/communications or other liberal arts degree encouraged to apply)
  • 0–3 years of relevant work experience
  • Internships at law firms or other corporations strongly preferred
  • Paralegal certificate is a plus, but not required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new legal tech tools
  • Motivated self-starter in a fast-paced environment
