Job description

Overview
Array Digital Infrastructure is a leading owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure. In this role, you'll be supporting a company that specializes in the acquisition, development, and management of tower assets that enable critical connectivity. You'll gain exposure to how Array partners with major wireless carriers and infrastructure users to deliver reliable, scalable network coverage. Working at the intersection of real estate and telecommunications, you'll see firsthand how the company optimizes its portfolio of tower sites to meet the growing demand for mobile data and next-generation connectivity.
As a Legal Intern, you will support a fast-paced, in-house legal team and gain hands-on experience across a variety of areas. Your work will include exposure to real estate matters, corporate governance, business licensing and compliance, and other projects as needed. This role is ideal if you have an interest in transactional law, real estate, and corporate practices, and are eager to learn how legal functions operate within a growing infrastructure company.
Through this internship, you will gain:
  • Exposure to in-house legal operations within a growing tower infrastructure company
  • Hands-on experience in real estate transactions and corporate compliance
  • Mentorship from experienced legal professionals
  • Insight into how the legal function supports business strategy in a dynamic, fast-evolving industry

In this internship, you are expected to work 30+ hours per week during the summer, with the opportunity to continue during the school year for 15-20 hours per week. Your work will take place during core business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), with flexibility based on your academic schedule. Your hours may vary depending on the semester and your school commitments, and you'll benefit from a flexible environment that prioritizes your education.
This position will be hybrid based out of our headquarters located in Chicago, IL.
Intern Resources:
As an intern at TDS, you'll have the opportunity to partner with seasoned professionals on high-priority company projects and day-to-day operations. During your internship, TDS offers you:
  • Access to our Intern Associate Resource Group (ARG): This group provides extra resources for your development, opportunities for internal advancement, and forums to connect with other interns across the company. Our ARG meets monthly, where you can hear about other interns' projects and engage with leaders from various teams. The group also hosts networking events to help you build valuable connections, with the goal of helping you secure full-time employment upon graduation.
  • Prioritization of Your Professional Development: TDS offers in-depth training to ensure you are continuously growing and developing your skills.
  • Focus on Ethics and a Healthy Work-Life Balance: We emphasize ethical practices and offer a business casual work environment to promote a balanced, supportive culture.
  • Encouragement to Volunteer: Interns are encouraged to engage in local charities, university activities, and community events, fostering personal and professional growth through meaningful contributions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with real estate matters, including:
    • Reviewing leases, purchase agreements, easements, and related documents
    • Supporting due diligence for acquisitions and development projects
    • Organizing and maintaining real estate records and closing checklists
  • Support corporate and governance activities, including:
    • Preparing and maintaining corporate records and entity documentation
    • Assisting with board and committee materials
    • Conducting basic legal research on corporate matters
  • Assist with business licenses and regulatory compliance, including:
    • Tracking and renewing business licenses across jurisdictions
    • Coordinating filings with local, state, and federal agencies
    • Maintaining compliance databases and calendars
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on a variety of topics
  • Assist with contract review and administrative legal tasks as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Other Qualifications:
  • Strong interest in transactional work related to real estate, corporate law, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Do you meet the Required Qualifications but are unsure if your experience aligns with the Other Qualifications? We encourage you to apply!
