Home Office Internship Opportunities Available in:Finance:The Finance Intern will embark on an immersive journey to gain essential financial reporting and analytical skills that are critical to the success of the complex homebuilding business. This internship provides hands-on experience in financial analytics, decision-making, and cross-departmental collaboration, equipping the intern with a comprehensive understanding of how finance supports business operations and strategic initiatives.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Develop financial reporting literacy to support the various components of the homebuilding process.
- Gain insights into land acquisition and learn how to provide financial analysis to guide business decisions and identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with finance teams to act as a bridge between sales, construction, and other departments, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Contribute to financial projects that enable the company to achieve its fiscal goals and support long-term business growth.
- Assist with financial data analysis, forecasting, and reporting to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
Information Technology:The Information Technology Intern will be a valuable member of our software development team, acquiring practical experience in coding, debugging, and testing. As a scrum team member, the intern will help to complete user stories, resolve problems, and provide general support throughout the software development lifecycle. This internship allows you to work directly with experienced mentors, gaining essential insights into real-world IT operations and software development processes.
Overview or Responsibilities:
- Participate in coding, debugging, and testing activities to support the software development team.
- Collaborate with team members during sprints to complete user stories and resolve bugs.
- Assist with routine tasks under the direct supervision of a software development mentor.
- Contribute to the completion of project goals while adhering to scrum methodologies.
- Provide additional support to the software development team to ensure smooth project delivery.
Legal:The Legal Intern will assist the legal team by preparing documents, conducting legal research, and managing company records. This internship offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in legal compliance, corporate governance, and secretarial responsibilities in a fast-paced legal setting. The intern will collaborate closely with seasoned legal professionals on specific projects and routine activities, establishing a strong foundation in legal operations.
Overview or Responsibilities:
- Assist with reviewing, filing, and managing corporate records and maintaining the corporate records database.
- Support the preparation of legal and compliance documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Review discovery documents, emails, and other materials as assigned.
- Conduct legal and compliance research by analyzing laws, statutes, court rulings, and trends and preparing legal memoranda based on findings.
- Perform various clerical duties, including handling mail, managing office equipment, maintaining calendars, and ordering supplies.
- Participate in special projects and provide support to the legal team as needed.
Marketing:The Marketing Intern will support the marketing team by analyzing consumer data, contributing to promotional campaigns, and assisting with content creation across various platforms. This role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, SEO, and market analysis, providing the intern with valuable insights into the latest industry trends. The intern will work closely with the marketing team to execute projects that enhance brand visibility and market presence.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret consumer data to identify trends and insights that inform marketing strategies.
- Assist with the planning and executing of marketing and advertising campaigns, including social media, email, and web promotions.
- Manage the intake, trafficking, and development of creative assets for media requests.
- Conduct competitive market analysis to uncover opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Contribute to SEO initiatives by creating content for blog posts and updating website materials to optimize search engine rankings.
Treasury:The Treasury Intern will support the organization's cash management, financial forecasting, and treasury operations. This position offers exposure to various financial tasks, including liquidity management, competitive financial analysis, and financial reporting. The intern will gain valuable experience in financial modeling, process improvements, and system implementations, working closely with treasury professionals on particular projects and day-to-day responsibilities.

- Assist with routine cash management tasks, including liquidity management, monitoring covenants, and maintaining the debt portfolio while helping forecast future funding needs and opportunities.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking of the homebuilding industry's financial statements and key metrics.
- Contribute to creating timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Learn and apply intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with training in financial model development for acquisitions and other treasury-related projects.
- Participate in special projects to enhance treasury operations, including process improvements and system implementations.

Required Education/Experience- High School diploma GED, or equivalent education required.
- Must be at least 18-years of age.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
- Our various Home Office Internships are ideal for candidates pursuing a number of degrees including Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, Pre-law, or similar degree.
- Must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application or must have graduated the semester immediately preceding the start of the internship.
- Minimum of sophomore status. Rising juniors, rising seniors, or graduate students preferred
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at time of application or graduation preferred.

- Strong tech-savvy competency; experience with Excel and Microsoft Teams specifically.

2025 Summer Internship Blueprint: In your 2025 internship role you will work alongside our experienced professionals and mirror that team's schedule and flexibility models. Please read each role's description and discuss with your hiring team to best understand the team's expectations.
- Application Dates: November 1st, 2024 - March 14th, 2025
- Internship Dates: May 19th, 2025 - August 8th, 2025 (12 weeks) (*Schedule may be adjusted based on individual student need.)
- 40 hours per week; schedule depends on the internship position and its requirements.
- Compensation: $20/hour. (Pay varies on position and location.)
- Benefits: Temporary employees are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Plan.
- Format: Home Office internships are hybrid format with a mix of in-office days and work from home days. Exact schedule will vary based on intern position and team; interns will mirror the schedule/format of their designated team. Home Office internships are based out of our Atlanta Buckhead location (3350 Peachtree Rd Atlanta, GA) apart from IT who may have opportunities in our Tempe, AZ office.
- Each intern will have the opportunity to shadow various functions that go into the homebuilding process. This will give you a holistic view and appreciation for the homebuilding industry and, who knows, may even spark an interest in an area you didn't know existed!
