Internship Conversion Rate Optimization information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Internship Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Internship Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist, you need a solid understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and user experience principles, often supported by coursework or certifications in marketing, statistics, or a related field. Familiarity with A/B testing tools (like Optimizely or Google Optimize), web analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics), and basic HTML/CSS is typically expected. Strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and effective communication skills help you generate insights and collaborate across teams. These abilities are vital for identifying opportunities, implementing tests, and driving measurable improvements in online performance.

What types of projects can I expect to work on as a Conversion Rate Optimization intern, and how will I collaborate with other teams?

As a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) intern, you can expect to work on projects such as A/B testing website elements, analyzing user behavior data, and developing recommendations to improve user experience and conversion rates. You’ll frequently collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to implement and monitor the impact of your experiments. This cross-functional work environment provides valuable exposure to different perspectives and skill sets, and interns often gain hands-on experience using industry-standard analytics tools. Additionally, you may participate in brainstorming sessions and performance reviews to discuss results and next steps for optimization initiatives.

What is an Internship Conversion Rate Optimization role?

An Internship Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) role involves analyzing user behavior on websites or apps and implementing strategies to increase the percentage of visitors who complete desired actions, like signing up or making a purchase. The goal is to learn how to drive measurable improvements in conversion rates, while gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing and optimization techniques.

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a data-first, highly analytical CRO & Growth Specialist who looks at digital interfaces through the lens of user psychology, friction reduction, and revenue metrics. In this role, you will be the strategic driver responsible for diagnosing, testing, and optimizing our public web presence and digital application funnels. We aren't looking for a corporate strategist who wants to sit in endless meetings-we need an active builder who can dive into user behavior data, formulate bulletproof hypotheses, mock up the visual solutions, and deploy high-impact experiments. If you love solving the math equation of user behavior, this is your sandbox.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • 2-4 Years of Direct Experience running digital conversion experiments, optimizing landing pages, or driving growth metrics (Fintech or high-velocity agency experience is highly preferred).
  • Data Stack Mastery: Advanced proficiency with web analytics platforms and dedicated A/B testing software. You don't guess what looks good; you let user data dictate layout logic.
  • Figma Literacy: Strong execution skills in Figma. You don't need to be an illustrator, but you must be able to spin up clean, modern, grid-aligned digital layouts that feel premium and fintech-native.
  • Psychology & Copywriting Fluency: A deep understanding of how micro-interactions, visual hierarchy, and persuasive copywriting intersect to influence consumer behavior.
  • A Fast-Paced Operator: Experience working inside lean pods where speed-to-market, rapid execution, and iterative testing are valued over endless corporate alignment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Diagnose the Funnel: Run continuous quantitative and qualitative audits using our web analytics (GA4) and user behavior tools (Hotjar, heatmaps, data tables) to identify and prioritize conversion leaks.
  • Build & Execute the Testing Roadmap: Formulate clear A/B and multivariate testing hypotheses. You will design the initial high-fidelity wireframes, interface layouts, and prototypes in Figma to map out changes clearly for our engineering team.
  • Own the Dev Bridge: Work hand-in-hand with our software engineers. You will hand off dev-ready assets, review staging environments for visual QA, and define layout logic so no engineering hours are wasted guessing how a design should behave.
  • Collaborate on AI Search Strategy: Partner with our external search agencies to embed structural schema and Q&A blocks into beautiful interface layouts that seamlessly satisfy both modern AI crawlers and human conversion eyes.

Compensation: $80K - $95,000 annually
WHAT WE BRING
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
  • Paid time off and sick days
  • Paid holidays
  • Long-term paid disability
  • Paid maternity and bonding leave
  • Full desk equipment provided
