Deposit Operations Specialist - Weatherford, TX
At First Bank Texas, taking care of customers starts with taking care of the details. The Deposit Operations Specialist helps keep the Bank's deposit services running accurately, efficiently, and securely.
This position provides operational support to our banking locations by processing deposit-related transactions, researching and resolving issues, reviewing reports, maintaining account records, and answering employee questions. The right person for this role is dependable, organized, comfortable working with numbers and banking systems, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Handles exception item pulls (EIP) to include teller alerts and unposted transactions
  • Processes incoming and outgoing returns with FRB
  • Reviews duplicate reports, hold reports, and positive pay items
  • Reconciliation of cash accounts, clearing accounts, and ATM/IT machines
  • Adheres to risk and regulatory guidelines; staying up-to-date on changes to regulations
  • Responsible for processing third-party levies, freezes, and garnishments
  • Gathers information and processes cash letter adjustments
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years in banking, deposit operations, bookkeeping preferred.
  • Ability to use computers, banking software, and standard office equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to explain information about operations clearly and professionally
