Job description

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing quality customer service to internal and external customers, as well as carrying out the daily operational responsibilities of servicing deposit accounts such as reconcilements, return deposit items, Fed Adjustments, Forgeries, and OD Program administration.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Reconcile internal bank checking accounts for official checks, Interest checks, Accounts Payable (AP) checks, Money Orders, utility account, unidentified account, Official check suspense, Official check stop pay suspense
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts related to deposit application; incoming and outgoing inclearing checks and ACH
  • Process incoming return deposit items/chargebacks accurately and timely
  • Process incoming and outgoing adjustments via Federal Reserve (Fed) and or Fiserv Clearing Network (FCN); making adjusting entries between customer account and Federal Reserve GL
  • Initiate correspondence with other Financial Institutions (FI's) regarding adjustments/error corrections when items cannot be processed by Fed
  • Respond to requests and correspondence from other FI's
  • Process large dollar return notifications
  • Process affidavits of forgery/alteration
  • Perform research requests
  • Cross train and back up duties on a regular basis
  • Review, resolve, and report data issues daily
  • Supports the OD Administrator in functions related to the OD Program

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Deposit Operations or Bank experience preferred
  • Federal Reserve Adjustment and Reconciliation experience a plus

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Ability to understand, and use Bank policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance

  • Standing, walking, bending and stooping required
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
  • Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds
  • May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically
  • Limited travel required occasionally during and after business hours

Hourly Pay Range: $16.38 - $25.62 per hour
