SUMMARY

This position is responsible for enhancing the Deposit Operations Department in performing ACH related functions including, but not limited to Death Notifications, Treasury Reclamations, ACH Returns & Corrections and Return Ratio reporting for the Bank's Board of Directors. Employee is responsible for debit card related reporting and maintenance. This position is also responsible for assisting with Debit Card, Check, and ACH fraud claims. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Places Death Notifications on system
  • Notates and restricts affected accounts
  • Decisions and returns direct deposits as required
  • Reviews PIM Returns and Corrections and makes necessary entries
  • Adds and removes Originator contacts in Fed Payments Reporter for ACH Originator notifications
  • Completes monthly ACH Return Ratio reporting to be submitted to the Bank's Board of Directors for NACHA compliance
  • Handles Treasury Reclamations
  • Reviews PIM Invalid Account Number report for possible fraud
  • Reviews and sends pre-note returns and corrections via Fedline
  • Balances the daily incoming ACH settlement reports from FRB
  • Responsible for EIM processing review of decisioned items to assure timely returns
  • Non-post review for Carry-over items
  • Processes wire transfer requests
  • Is responsible for reporting quarterly to VISA the bank's volume of payments and card data
  • Serves as administrator of the bank's uChoose Rewards program 
  • Assists branches and customers with uChoose related requests
  • Reviews Enfact cases and attempts to resolve
  • Serves as primary contact for expediting debit card production as necessary 
  • Answers and responds to Deposit Operations requests for research via the bank's helpdesk ticket platform
  • Backup for daily debit card maintenance including processing files, lost/stolen requests, and other miscellaneous card maintenance
  • Reviews daily reports and performs appropriate investigations
  • Processes ACH transactions such as Same Day ACH transfers, External transfers, etc.
  • Serves as back up for Christmas Club payouts and monthly report review
  • Assists with yearly escheatment research
  • Serves as back up for debit card related functions including but not limited to:
  • Fraud/Disputes
  • Report review (daily settlements, compromised account lists, monthly re-issues
  • Returned debit cards
  • Travel exemptions
  • Research requests
  • Enfact exceptions
  • Temporary limit increases
  • Processes Check Fraud and ACH Fraud/Non-Fraud claims
  • Processes account verifications from Social Security and Medicaid
  • Serves as back up in balancing the bank's Application Balancing Report
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

High school diploma required; some college preferred

Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with internal and external customers

Ability to recognize irregular or suspicious transactions and take appropriate steps to prevent loss

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
