Job description

The Williston Northampton School, a co-educational boarding and day school in Easthampton, is seeking a dynamic Head Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach. The ideal candidate will have experience playing and/or coaching at the secondary or college level, with an ability to provide leadership and direction to student-athletes, motivating them to achieve excellence. Additionally, this individual will possess a proven record of establishing positive healthy relationships with both student-athletes and parents, and enthusiasm for cultivating life skills through athletics.

This position is responsible for program oversight, acting as a role model for the girls on the team, supporting the mission of the school, mentorship of assistant coaches, and administrative duties of a head coach.


The season runs from late November through late February with daily practices and a 20-game schedule. The program does not meet during the holiday season from mid-December through January 1st. An internal coaching colleague will assist this position.


The qualified individual must successfully complete the CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information), the SORI (Sex Offender Record Information), a general background check and a fingerprint-based background check.
