Position Overview:
The Sports & Entertainment Business Development Lead will drive revenue by bringing Composecure's premium authentication, secure hardware, and Arculus digital security solutions into the sports, music, live events, and experiential marketing ecosystem. This role focuses on selling to teams, leagues, venues, festivals, promoters, ticketing platforms, experiential agencies, and brands seeking secure, high impact fan engagement and premium credentialing solutions.
The ideal candidate blends deep industry relationships with a strong understanding of how secure authentication, premium physical products, and digital identity solutions can elevate live event experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Growth
โ€ข Build and manage a high value pipeline across sports, concerts, festivals, live events, and experiential marketing.
โ€ข Sell Composecure and Arculus solutions including secure access credentials, premium event passes, authentication hardware, and digital identity products.
โ€ข Develop customized proposals for fan engagement, VIP access, loyalty programs, premium credentialing, and secure event experiences.
โ€ข Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
Client & Partner Engagement
โ€ข Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers at teams, leagues, venues, promoters, festivals, agencies, and brand partners.
โ€ข Lead discovery conversations to understand event operations, security needs, fan experience goals, and premium product opportunities.
โ€ข Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering, operations, creative) to deliver tailored solutions.
Industry Expertise & Market Positioning
โ€ข Stay current on trends in sports business, live entertainment, experiential marketing, ticketing, and access control.
โ€ข Represent Composecure at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings.
โ€ข Provide market insights to inform product development and go to market strategy.
Account Growth & Long-term Value
โ€ข Expand existing accounts through renewals, multi-event partnerships, and new product lines.
โ€ข Support seamless handoffs to account management while maintaining senior level relationships.
โ€ข Identify opportunities to integrate Arculus authentication into broader digital ecosystems (loyalty, identity, payments).
Qualifications:
  • 5-10+ years of sales experience in sports, entertainment, live events, experiential marketing, or related industries.
    โ€ข Proven track record closing six or seven figure deals with brands, agencies, rightsholders, or venues.
    โ€ข Strong understanding of sponsorship, premium credentialing, access control, or fan engagement technologies.
    โ€ข Ability to navigate complex organizations and manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
    โ€ข Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    โ€ข Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and consistently hit revenue targets.
