Job description

Job Title: Public Health Informatics Project Manager

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong project management experience with successful delivery of complex initiatives.
  • Experience with healthcare informatics, public health programs, or health information systems.
  • Knowledge of interoperability standards, electronic health records (EHR), and healthcare data exchange.
  • Experience with data analysis, data quality improvement, and reporting processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with public health surveillance systems and epidemiology programs.
  • Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, healthcare interoperability frameworks, and data modernization initiatives.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Familiarity with CDC, APHL, CSTE, or other public health organizations.
  • Experience with strategic planning, workforce development, and change management initiatives.
  • Lead and manage public health informatics projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Conduct assessments of health information systems, data processes, and interoperability initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, process maps, standard operating procedures, and strategic roadmaps.
  • Support data modernization efforts and implementation of industry data standards.
