Job description

At the present time, a vacancy exists within the Administrative Services department of the Chester County Intermediate Unit for a full-time, Custodian Nightside.  This position will be based at the Educational Services Center located at 455 Boot Road, Downingtown, PA 19335 with the hours being 2pm to 10pm.

Position Quick Facts
Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2026
Benefit Eligible: Yes 
Schedule:  Monday through Friday- 2pm to 10pm 
Location: Educational Services Center (Downingtown, PA)
Qualifications:













  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of institutional cleaning methods and processes preferred
  • Previous experience in a school custodial position preferred
  • Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required

 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain building facilities
  • Utilizing and operating appropriate equipment, perform routine facilities maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable items
  • Set up and breakdown tables and chairs for special events
  • Assist with the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies
  • Operate buffer, floor-care machines, vacuums, drills, and other small power tools


2026-2027 Salary:
$20.65 to $22.53 (Based upon experience)
