Job description

PENTA needs Intermediate Electrical Engineers with experience in industrial electrical design, control systems, and automation projects. You will support the design and execution of projects working closely with senior engineers, project managers in multidisciplinary teams. You will have occasional travel to clients and project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, or similar design software preferred to Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ISA, and client standards.
  • Develop electrical design deliverables including one-line diagrams, panel layouts, I/O lists, conduit and cable schedules, grounding systems, and bills of materials.
  • Assist with PLC/SCADA systems, industrial controls, instrumentation integration, and automation design.
  • Perform electrical calculations and support power distribution and motor control system design.
  • Develop electrical design packages, support construction activities, ensure code and standards compliance and assist with project execution.
  • Review vendor submittals, MCC/VFD specifications, instrumentation selections, and control panel designs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to support project execution and schedules.
  • Provide construction support including RFIs, troubleshooting, commissioning assistance, and field coordination.
  • Support quality control efforts, design consistency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with project estimates, budgets, and proposal support as required.
  • Experience with power distribution systems, instrumentation, industrial controls, and automation design.
  • Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ISA standards.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, controls, power or automation projects.
  • EIT certification; PE preferred.
