Position Summary
The Summer School Enrichment Camp Counselor supports the daily operations of the summer enrichment program by assisting staff, supervising students, and helping facilitate engaging educational and recreational activities. This role is designed to provide high school students with leadership experience and exposure to educational environments.
Summer Camp Counselor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers and program staff with organizing and implementing enrichment activities (arts, literacy, STEM, recreation, etc.)
  • Supervise and engage with elementary or middle school students in a safe and supportive manner
  • Lead small group activities and help maintain student participation and positive behavior
  • Support transitions between activities, including setup and cleanup
  • Serve as a positive role model for younger students
  • Ensure adherence to program rules, safety procedures, and school policies
  • Communicate effectively with staff regarding student needs or concerns

Essential Job Functions and Qualifications
  • Current high school student in grades 10 12(as of June 22nd)
  • Responsible, dependable, and punctual
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers and adults
  • Interest in education, childcare, or leadership development preferred
  • Prior experience working with children is a plus, but not required

SALARY: Pay for these assignments will be $15 per hour.
