Interim Director of Contracts (GovCon) - TS/SCI Required

Location: Fairfax, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: 3+ Months (Temp-to-Perm Potential)

We are partnering with a high-performing government contractor to identify an Interim Director of Contracts. This role will provide leadership and oversight of contract operations, supporting both federal and commercial business lines.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee full lifecycle ("cradle-to-grave") contract activities across the organization
  • Lead and manage a contracts team (approximately 10-11 staff, including direct reports)
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide strategic direction on contracts, procurement, and risk management
  • Support commercial product and reseller agreements in addition to GovCon work
  • Partner with executive leadership and program teams
Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Extensive experience in Government Contracting (FAR/DFARS)
  • Proven leadership experience managing contracts teams
  • Background supporting commercial products or reseller-type environments
