Job description

Berwick Academy, a PK-12 coeducational day school in Southern Maine, seeks an interim Lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher to collaborate with Lower School colleagues in implementing an exceptional Pre-K3 program. Berwick's Early Childhood approach blends social-emotional experiences, project approach learning, outdoor classroom initiatives, and homeroom/special subject instruction, with the ultimate goal of developing a respectful and responsible community through exploration, joy, and discovery.
Qualified candidates will have experience working in an early childhood setting, demonstrated success fostering positive relationships with students and families, and a strong interest in collaborating with colleagues, including during year-round outdoor classroom experiences. Strong communication and writing skills are also essential. This interim position includes several summer planning commitments and becomes a full-time interim role for the 2026-27 academic year.
