Summer Internship Job Description

Position Title: Summer Intern - AI-Driven Control & Intelligence

Position Short Description

The internship focuses on accelerating next-generation AI-driven control and intelligence development for advanced multi-phase power supply units (PSUs), including six-phase Vienna rectifier architectures for AI rack and data center applications. The intern will support AI/ML-based control development, coordinated multi-phase control strategies, adaptive mode switching, phase reconfiguration, modeling, and Model-in-Loop (MIL) validation activities. The role also includes contributing to invention disclosures, experimental datasets, and data-backed intellectual property generation supporting Vertiv's H3 innovation roadmap.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated summer intern to support advanced R&D activities in intelligent and AI-enabled control systems for next-generation AI infrastructure. The intern will work closely with research engineers to develop and validate control strategies for multi-phase Vienna rectifier-based PSU architectures targeting high-efficiency, scalable, and fault-tolerant AI rack systems.

The internship will emphasize AI-assisted control development, adaptive operational optimization, coordinated multi-phase control, and system-level modeling for advanced PSU architectures. The candidate will support simulation, Model-in-Loop (MIL) validation, data analysis, and prototype-oriented algorithm evaluation aimed at accelerating H3-to-H2 technology transition and strengthening the innovation and patent pipeline.
