Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.
Entarian is seeking an experienced Space Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration of emerging space capabilities into mission operations. The Space Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for developing provider adapters, integrating new proliferated Low Earth Orbit (pLEO) and satellite communications capabilities, and ensuring interoperability across space, ground, and cloud-based systems. This role works closely with systems engineers, software developers, architects, cloud engineers, and mission partners to evaluate, integrate, and transition new technologies into operational environments.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting space systems, satellite communications, ground infrastructure, mission operations, networking, or cloud-based technical environments.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Design, develop, and integrate provider adapters supporting commercial and government satellite communication services.
  • Support integration of new pLEO, SATCOM, and space-based capabilities into operational mission environments.
  • Develop interface solutions enabling interoperability between space, ground, and cloud-based systems.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, trade studies, and integration analyses for emerging technologies.
  • Support prototype development, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and technology transition activities.
  • Coordinate integration efforts with engineering, software development, cybersecurity, and operations teams.
  • Develop technical documentation including interface specifications, integration plans, and engineering assessments.
  • Support integration testing, troubleshooting, and validation of new capabilities.
  • Identify technical risks and recommend solutions to improve interoperability, performance, and reliability.
  • Prepare technical briefings and recommendations for program leadership and government stakeholders

Salary range: $165,000.00 - $190,000.00
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience supporting space systems, systems integration, satellite communications, or mission systems engineering.
  • Experience integrating satellite communications, pLEO systems, or space-based capabilities.
  • Experience developing APIs, middleware, provider adapters, or other system integration solutions.
  • Experience with systems engineering, networking, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15-25% to support customer locations, integration events, demonstrations, and operational activities.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting U.S. Space Force, Space Development Agency (SDA), Intelligence Community, NASA, or other defense space programs.
  • Experience integrating commercial SATCOM providers, pLEO constellations, or hybrid communications architectures.
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with software development using Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), or Digital Thread methodologies.
  • Knowledge of space networking, tactical data transport, or multi-orbit communications architectures.
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience transitioning prototype or experimental capabilities into operational mission environments.
  • Relevant certifications in systems engineering, cloud technologies, or software development.
