Job description

Position: Associate Advisor
Firm: Vosberg Wealth Management
Location: Glendora, CA
About Us:
Vosberg Wealth Management is a retirement-focused financial planning practice based in Glendora, CA. We specialize in helping individuals over 50 navigate retirement with confidence — covering everything from retirement income planning and Social Security to tax planning, Medicare, and investment management. As a fiduciary, we are committed to providing independent, personalized advice in the best interest of every client we serve. We take a structured, step-by-step approach to financial planning and pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with the people we work with.
Overview:
We are looking for a driven and client-focused Associate Advisor to work directly alongside our lead financial advisor. This is more than a support role — you will actively participate in client meetings, contribute to financial plan development, and build toward managing your own client relationships as the practice grows. This role has the opportunity for advancement into a Financial Planner role. If you want to be part of a fast-growing firm with opportunity for advancement, this is the opportunity for you.
What You'll Do:
  • Participate in client meetings alongside the lead advisor
  • Build, prepare, and present comprehensive retirement plans and tax strategies
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with a focus on long-term trust
  • Provide proactive support to advisors and clients, anticipating needs and opportunities
  • Serve as an ongoing advisor for existing client relationships
  • Provide planning recommendations across retirement income, Social Security, tax, Medicare, and investment strategies
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and ensuring a seamless client experience
  • Manage account paperwork and coordinate with custodians
  • Maintain accurate client records in CRM
  • Stay current on financial planning strategies and tax law changes affecting retirees
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Active Series 65 or Series 66 license
  • Life Insurance license
  • 2–4 years of experience in a financial planning or advisory role
  • CFP coursework, CFP candidacy, or CFP designation a plus
  • Solid understanding of retirement planning concepts — income planning, Roth conversions, RMDs, Social Security, and Medicare
  • Familiarity with financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, RightCapital or similar)
  • Knowledge of tax planning software a plus
  • CRM experience
  • Experience managing client relationships and communication
  • Experience with account paperwork and workflows
  • Strong communicator — confident in client-facing situations
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
  • Growth mindset — you want to build something and grow into a lead advisor role
What You’ll Get:
Pay amp; Perks:
  • Base salary: $70,000 – $95,000/year depending on experience
  • Performance bonus potential
  • 401(k) with match
  • Benefits package (health, dental)
  • Clear and defined path to Lead Advisor as the practice expands
Schedule:
  • In office: Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
