Job Description
The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships for Nature's World and Healeo Juice, two premium brands within the Charlie's Produce portfolio. This role focuses on expanding market presence, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong partnerships with retail and food service customers across the assigned territory.
The Account Manager will work closely with customers to understand their needs, develop profitable product programs, and ensure exceptional service and execution. Success in this position requires strong relationship management skills, a proactive sales mindset, and a passion for consumer packaged goods.
This position collaborates closely with internal teams including buyers, operations, and sales support to ensure product availability, competitive pricing strategies, and consistent delivery of high-quality products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow sales within assigned accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within retail and food service channels
  • Build and present product programs and seasonal offerings to customers
  • Develop pricing strategies and order guides aligned with market conditions and company objectives
  • Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and well being of the company.
  • Attend all sales meetings and appointments
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, retailers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer needs, inquiries, and issue resolution
  • Provide exceptional service to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention
  • Stay informed on dried fruit, nuts, seeds, and beverage market trends
  • Provide insights and recommendations to customers regarding pricing, availability, and promotions
  • Work closely with buyers, operations teams, and sales support staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Communicate customer preferences, forecasts, and special requirements internally
  • Make sure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut-off times
  • Responsible for processing and turning in credit memos, responsibility forms and other job-related paperwork within the set timelines
  • Maintain compliance with company quality and food safety standards
  • Merchandise and build in store displays
  • Travel throughout designated territory to support customer relationships and business development
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid vehicle insurance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail account management, CPG sales, or similar sales role.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent customer service and phone communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage paperwork and pricing accurately.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling into grocery or retail produce departments.
  • Knowledge of bulk foods and beverage category.
  • Track record of growing sales within existing customer accounts
  • Resourceful, creative, and solutions-oriented problem solver.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and manage priorities independently.
