Compensation Range: $45-$55/hr

Work Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Company Overview

This organization operates as a shared services group supporting internal business operations, systems adoption, process consistency, and workforce enablement.

The team is seeking an Instructional Designer who can partner with business stakeholders to convert operational workflows, SOPs, and systems processes into clear, usable, and measurable training assets.

Position Summary

The Instructional Designer will serve as a key bridge between business operations and the training ecosystem.

This role will be responsible for extracting complex Standard Operating Procedures, systems workflows, and departmental processes, then translating them into clear, actionable, and measurable learning experiences for employees.

The position requires strong instructional design capability, process documentation experience, eLearning development skills, and the ability to support end users through practical training and performance support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs, audience, and task analyses to understand frontline workflows and operational challenges
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts across Account & Finance, Operations, IT, Compliance, HR, and other departments to extract and map internal processes
  • Translate complex policies, SOPs, work instructions, and systems workflows into step-by-step documentation, process maps, and design documents
  • Maintain accurate, version-controlled project documentation, source files, and instructional design assets
  • Design and develop scenario-based eLearning, instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, and microlearning assets aligned with adult learning principles
  • Create performance support tools including quick reference guides, interactive job aids, system walkthroughs, and workflow documentation
  • Develop learning objectives mapped to role competencies, operational KPIs, compliance requirements, and quality metrics
  • Build and update learning content using eLearning tools including Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • Use SharePoint to organize, manage, publish, or maintain training documentation and related assets
  • Support training related to business systems or ERP environments, ideally including Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Provide one-on-one training support for new end users as needed
  • Ensure learning materials and workflow documentation meet accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA, and internal style guidelines
  • Facilitate design reviews and user-testing sessions with stakeholders and end users to ensure accuracy and usability
  • Analyze learner feedback and performance data to improve workflow documentation, course content, and training effectiveness

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of instructional design experience with a focus on process mapping, technical writing, and corporate training
  • Proven ability to convert SOPs, work instructions, and systems workflows into practice-driven learning materials
  • Experience developing eLearning content using Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • Experience creating training assets, job aids, quick reference guides, process documentation, and system walkthroughs
  • Experience working with SharePoint for documentation, content management, or training asset organization
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical information for everyday learners
  • Ability to work onsite three days per week at the Irving, TX headquarters
