Job description

Generator Installation Technician will take the new customer through the entire install process, from pulling permits to the actual startup of the Generator. The Generator Installation Tech will track the progress of the job on a daily basis, updating the customer throughout the process.ย 
At day of install, the Generator Installation Tech oversees the entire process for Generator installation and is responsible for onsite facilitation of subcontractors and physical installing including placing generator and ensuring it's ready for inspections and start up. Job includes physical fieldwork and office duties.
-Generator Installation Technician (GIT) will update Installation work orders in job tracking system (Field Edge Database) adding any special notes for permitting, overall job regarding plumbing, electrical and site inspections. If there is unfinished work, it requires notes in Install work order and a new work order to go back to the job site.
During the planning sessions, GIT will review and lead discussions with the team. Sales, Electrician and Plumber need to understand the job plan. The GIT will identify jobs that may extend past one day of installation, and work to remove obstacles to ensure a one-day installation if possible.
Review and label jobs as either standard (one day no notable obstacles in review) or complex requires two-day installation or additional hands and feet on ground.

ยท Inventory (Generators and any materials for jobs)
ยท Order replacement generators within threshold, keeping stock as required- communicating when stock is low.
ยท Update work orders and customer notes in field edge system โ€“ Pin customer notes when important.
ยท Manage Subcontractors (Electrical and Plumbing) includes escalation when issues arise.
ยท Maintain relationships with town inspectors and build new relationships with customers, look for opportunities to sell service agreements.
ยท Collaborate closely with Sales and back-office team
ยท Participating in Emergency on call rotation for Generator repairs
