POSITION SUMMARY
The Channel Account Representative provides sales support for assigned channel segments. This role provides reactive phone support, e-mail sales support, and engages in proactive business development efforts to grow Channel Sales. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with sales, updating pipeline, driving interactions, and monitoring assigned email box. This role supports assigned accounts, working in conjunction with the outside sales team to drive new business and meet established sales quotas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works to close opportunities assigned to the Channel Account Representative and/or their assigned accounts.
  • Provides strategic sales support to outside sales by providing sales and technical trainings.
  • Informs accounts on current promos, new product launches, and Vertiv Partner Program updates.
  • Meets assigned sales quotas, objectives & key results (OKRs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinates selling campaigns, qualifies leads, and coordinates customer introductions. Works in partnership with other sales employees to increase sales revenue.
  • Provides dedicated support to answer or coordinate responses for all requests from assigned accounts.
  • Assists customers in determining the best solution for their needs.
  • Understands and communicates company product or services features & benefits and promotes the advantages of our company to assigned accounts.
  • Answers basic technical questions about Vertiv products.
  • Provides quotes, information on product availability, pricing, and competitive portfolio cross-referencing suggestions.
  • Generates, updates and tracks CRM opportunities, whether originated or assigned.
  • Works with sales operations team to answer questions regarding company inventory, shipping deliveries, manufacturing timeline, etc. to ensure products and services desired can be delivered to customer given their expectation/need.
  • Re-directs calls as appropriate to other departments such as technical support, services, or application engineering.
  • Participates in sales events and trade shows to educate and promote products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
  • 1-2 years sales experience or experience with IT resellers.
  • Knowledge of technology including software, hardware, and/or networking is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office. Experience with CRM management preferred.
