The Opportunity

The CIS program supports our intelligence customer deliver IT services to conduct its globally distributed operations. We are driving an exciting technological transformation of customer IT services by leading the design, development, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge solutions. This includes continuous service improvement through the modernization of IT system infrastructure.

CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Infrastructure Observability and Monitoring Engineer to support the mission objectives and needs of the customer, the Defense Intelligence Agency. In this role, you will be the technical authority for designing, configuring, and supporting comprehensive infrastructure monitoring and telemetry solutions across enterprise storage and hardware platforms. You will direct cross-functional collaborations to standardize real-time data collection, establish alert thresholds, and integrate automated ticket creation to guarantee continuous system availability and SLA compliance. Additionally, you will champion the validation of system health using simulations and synthetic transactions while ensuring all engineering documentation, analytical platforms, and reports meet rigorous contract specifications.

The position is contingent upon award of the DIA SITE III CIO Infrastructure Services (CIS) contract.

Responsibilities
  • Design and configure infrastructure monitoring tools and services to promote real-time access to system alerts, cyber status, events, trend analysis, and system data collection solution(s) for all Infrastructure Services within customer roadmap and future iterations
  • Collaborate with other engineers and Operations teams on requirements, APIs, and other data collection techniques and correlations on integrated infrastructure usage, alert thresholds, and potential aggregation for automated ticket creation
  • Design tests using simulations, physical components, and synthetic data transactions to enable lab-based and in-production validation of system health, availability, and performance
  • Develop clear and complete documentation for monitoring solutions, analytic platforms, and related activities
  • Provide engineering support for all monitoring and management solutions to meet SLA requirements
  • Support major storage technologies such as Brocade, Data Domain, Dell FluidFS, NetApp, and Dell Storage Center
  • Create required documentation, reports, and data adhering to schedule, format, and content requirements specified by the contract
QualificationsRequired
  • Must hold a current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start
  • DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+)
  • HS and 16+ years of experience, an AA and 14+ years of experience, BS/BA and 12+ years of experience, MS/MA and 10+ years of experience, or PhD and 8+ years of experience
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing infrastructure monitoring and management solutions
  • Practical experience with Splunk, NETSCOUT, NNMi, HPNA, Cisco Catalyst, or other infrastructure monitoring and management platforms
  • Practical experience with Tableau and other reporting or dashboard engines
  • Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies
  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification (or higher)

  • Familiarity with IC ITE services and classified environments
  • Practical experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM systems

Pay Range

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $103,800 - $218,100
