Job description

The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for administering, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, securing and performing maintenance on network and server equipment, systems, circuits and related software for the Life Care Services equity communities.

What You'll Do:

  • Administers, configures, installs, troubleshoots, tests, maintains and documents computer networks, servers, and associated hardware and software.
  • Handles community infrastructure requests and incidents.
  • Participates in community infrastructure projects.
  • Plan, coordinate and test changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments allowing for business continuity and redundancy.
  • Acts as escalation point for the Technology Support Center.
  • Assists with the creation and maintenance of documentation.
  • Makes recommendations for improvement including technology, processes, and procedures.
  • Works outside business hours when needed for maintenance, projects and incidents.

What We're Looking For:

  • Four years of IT experience of which at least two with a medium to large organization or managed services provider.
  • Two years of demonstrated experience in infrastructure administration and/or engineering.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and Windows/Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and Office 365, Firewalls, Switches, Routers, Load Balancers, Circuits, VPNs, Wireless, SANs, VMware, Phone Systems and Security.
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related technology field or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Entry or intermediate level industry certifications preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated customer service approach to providing IT or support services.
  • Possesses intermediate knowledge of applicable infrastructure systems.
  • Ability to work on all sizes of projects, prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to use discretion in working with sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Flexibility for on-call/afterhours support.
  • Ability to work with various vendor partners.
  • Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
