Director of IT – Infrastructure & Operations
Location: Central Iowa (Onsite Leadership Role)
We’re partnering with a growing, employee-owned manufacturing organization to hire a Director of IT – Infrastructure & Operations. This is a high-visibility leadership role with enterprise-wide impact, driving modernization, service excellence, and scalability across a multi-site environment.
This is not a traditional infrastructure role—we’re seeking a strategic, forward-thinking leader who can operate at the executive level while transforming IT operations to support continued growth, including active M& A integration.
What You’ll Do
• Define and execute the infrastructure & operations strategy aligned to business growth
• Lead modernization efforts (cloud, automation, scalability, service model evolution)
• Build a high-performing IT operations function (ITSM, service desk, reliability, uptime)
• Drive integration of acquired businesses and establish a scalable shared services model
• Partner with executives across IT, operations, and engineering to deliver business value
• Evaluate and optimize team structure, processes, and vendor partnerships
• Own budgeting, cost optimization, and operational performance
What We’re Looking For
• Director-level IT leader with 10+ years of infrastructure & operations experience
• Proven ability to modernize and scale IT in complex, multi-site environments
• Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior leadership
• Track record of leading through change, growth, or M& A integration
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, IT operations, and service management
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
• A builder + change agent mindset—strategic, but hands-on when needed
Why This Role
• Executive-level influence with visibility across the organization
• Opportunity to lead transformation, not just maintain operations
• Key role in acquisition integration and future growth strategy
• Employee-owned company with strong culture and long-term incentives
• Competitive compensation + 30% bonus potential + ESOP
If you’re a strategic IT leader ready to modernize, integrate, and scale within a growing organization, we’d love to connect.
