Job description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer for our Enterprise CI/CD DevOps Platform Services team in the Chief Technology Office (CTO) line of business.

This opportunity is available for a motivated and experienced Infrastructure Engineer with DevOps experience who can work closely with application development teams to support the applications and maintain daily operational requirements for an enterprise-wide effort. Engineers are responsible for interfacing with the application development teams to assist them in determining the most efficient and value-added method of automating their application Lifecycle development activities that move their applications through the process to implementation. In addition to these consultative activities, the Engineer will work with the application teams, technology partners, and all relevant teams to support the application team and their applications into the DevOps automation service.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
  • Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
  • Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
  • Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
  • Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third-party vendors
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Design, build, and operate highly available, secure, and performant infrastructure across Windows, Linux, and multicloud environments
  • Lead automation initiatives to eliminate manual toil, accelerate incident response, and prevent recurring issues
  • Implement and evolve observability platforms using SLIs/SLOs, Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native monitoring tools
  • Drive proactive monitoring, alerting, logging, and telemetry across hybrid and cloud environments
  • Apply SRE practices to move teams from reactive to proactive, datadriven, and increasingly selfhealing systems
  • Design and integrate intelligent automation and AIdriven tooling for observability, predictive maintenance, and vulnerability remediation
  • Serve as a lead technical advisor for CI/CD and deployment platforms including Artifactory, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy, Harness, and GitHub Actions


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of experience with Artifactory Configuration through Artifactory UI
  • 3+ years of experience with Artifactory Administration or Platform Infrastructure
  • 3+ years of experience with build and dependency management tools such as Maven, MSBuild, Gradle, or Node.js


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment
  • Experience with interpreting and writing with scripting languages such as python, PowerShell, and experience with Linux OS
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization including management
  • Strong team or technical leadership experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently
  • Familiarity with OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, and containerbased platforms
  • Operational and trouble shooting skills spans over multiple build and deploy tools
  • Awareness of responsible AI usage, including security and validation considerations
