Job description

Segra is searching for a qualified and experienced Manager, Network Provisioning to join us in a full-time capacity.

Shift Details:

Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST each week. This is a 2nd shift position only.

Location Requirement:

The work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in one of our Segra offices, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.

Role Overview:

The Manager, Network Provisioning, administers a portfolio of engineering disciples in support of the Service Delivery organization. The incumbent will manage a team of Provisioning Engineers who are performing day-to-day provisioning responsibilities, disconnects, rehomes, grooms. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation and activation in the life cycle support of all electronic premise and core network equipment to deliver Ethernet 2.0, Dedicated Internet Access and a variety of other services to the customer. This position will utilize experience with the provisioning of IP and Ethernet Networks Responsibilities including identifying individual strengths and building team cohesion to provide appropriate technical skills to support Segra's customers. This position is also responsible for defining policies and procedures of Service Delivery for the purpose of prioritizing projects, managing activities, and meeting commitments to customers. The incumbent will facilitate meetings with other internal Segra organizations to coordinate process improvements and ensure compliance to these policies. Additional duties include representing the Service Delivery team in various committees designed to plan, evaluate, & incorporate new equipment/markets into the network, and developing capital budgets to include OPEX and CAPEX expenditures.

The Manager's position includes working with the Supervisors of Transport, Enterprise and Carrier Supervisors to make sure each department's resources are load balanced daily, weekly and monthly, receiving and resolving escalations, metric reporting, internal and contractor time reviews and approvals, and supporting Service Delivery, PMO and Finance teams to ensure customer delivery dates are met. This position supports the data entry and maintaining of Segra data platforms.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; or an equivalent combination of professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience and previous Service Delivery experience and proven experience leading and mentoring a technical team.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Knowledge of management principles and practices; personnel supervision and development
    • Telephony technologies
    • Knowledge of IP networking, routers, switches and other associated peripheral equipment for customer networks
    • Knowledge of Ethernet services defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) such as ELINE/ELAN.
    • Knowledge of optical transport technologies DWDM/OTN, and SONET/TDM.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strategic skills in Vendor Management , process Documentation, and rapid incident resolution.
    • Proactive performance Optimization, troubleshooting and coordinating complex network changes to ensure maximum uptime for customers.
    • Technical Expert of Customer edge network equipment along with Provider Edge networks .
    • Ability to make fast, sound decisions under pressure to minimize downtime, such as troubleshooting spanning-tree loops or VLAN misconfigurations.

Salary Range: $116,025 - $145,110
