Job description

Premier Genesee is seeking a licensed hairdresser to provide salon services to residents in our assisted living and skilled nursing community.

This is an independent contractor position offering exceptional flexibility. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to create their own schedule and provide services directly to residents in our on-site salon.

Responsibilities

  • Provide haircuts, styling, shampoos, and other cosmetology services within the scope of your license

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional salon environment

  • Manage appointment scheduling with residents and/or facility staff

  • Supply necessary products and equipment required to perform services

  • Provide excellent customer service while building positive relationships with residents

Qualifications

  • Current New York State Cosmetology License required

  • Ability to work independently

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

  • Experience working with older adults is preferred but not required
