The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading North American manufacturer of high-efficiency solar panels in Burlington, WA, dedicated to advancing clean energy through innovative design, engineering, and automated production processes. In this role you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements that enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, safety, and overall operational performance. You will partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate workflows, lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilize data-driven problem-solving methodologies, and support lean manufacturing practices to drive sustainable results across the organization. Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
  • Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste
  • Facilitate root cause analysis using tools such as Fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Drive projects to improve KPIs such as cycle time, yield, scrap, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, supply chain)
  • Standardize processes and ensure documentation is updated (SOPs, work instructions)
  • Train employees in continuous improvement tools and methodologies Support audits and compliance initiatives
  • Monitor and report on improvement project results
Skills & Experience
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles
  • Experience with data analysis and problem-solving tools
  • Proficiency with Excel and/or data visualization tools
  • Process mapping experience (e.g., Value Stream Mapping)
  • Change management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Leadership and influence without authority
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field)
  • 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement roles
Education & Experience Preferred
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
  • Experience with ERP or MES
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
