Title: Improvement Engineer
Location: Niagara Falls, NY
Salary: $102,456 - $143,568
Schedule: 9/80; 5-8s schedule available
Relocation Available
Focus: The Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the plant-level improvement process by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating improvement opportunities, and implementing improvement projects while ensuring plant improvements align with business objectives.
Improvement Engineer Essential Responsibilities:
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, defining project scope, and prioritizing process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (operations, tech center, EH&S, maintenance) to develop and implement safe and effective project designs
  • Ensures technical integrity and effective communication between teams and plant operations through all project phases (including FEL)
  • Champions process safety, managing key project responsibilities, and leading new plant product trials

Improvement Engineer Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical preferred
    • If graduated less than 2 years ago, must have completed degree with a 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • 1+ years of experience leading plant-level improvement processes in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Prior management of vendor proposals and quotations, contractor bids, and development of desired solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
