Job description

This position is responsible for maintaining and developing sales of imported specialty food in Sacramento,CA. Along with a passion for gourmet cuisine, the account executive should meet or exceed sales goals, provide excellent customer service and display professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell company authorized products in required volumes to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Perform customer needs analysis, develop solutions, discuss product offerings, create proposals, and negotiate with customers.
  • Prospect and ensure the proper level of activity to generate sales results.
  • Identify, qualify, and visit prospects and customers in the assigned area.
  • Maintain existing customer accounts and generate new business.
  • Participate in product and sales related training.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and selling process.
  • Produce accurate and timely forecasts as required by management.
  • Display at all times a positive, professional, and business-like behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and work processes throughout the selling process.
  • Adhere to all Company established policies and procedures.
  • Special projects or other duties as required.

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 5 years related sales and industry experience
  • Knowledge of specialty food products and industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
  • Proficiency in MSOffice applications
  • Live in North Bay or San Francisco
  • Italian language proficiency is a plus
