Seeking Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary!
Baptist Health Floyd, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Part-Time (24 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am)
Benefit Eligible
Job Duties:
The Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
About the Unit:
The Cardiovascular ICU (CVU) of Baptist Health Floyd specializes in the care of open-heart surgery patients. CVU is a modern unit providing expert cardiac care with an innovative model of care called the universal bed concept. The team leverages their clinical expertise to care for these cardiac patients on all levels from pre-operative teaching to open-heart recovery, to cardiac ICU care, and to discharge teaching. While cardiac surgery patients are the primary focus, the CVU team also cares for general ICU patients, complex cardiology patients, patients requiring cardiac devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas, and patients requiring cooling after cardiac arrest.
Qualifications:
BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.
Previous Nursing Assistant experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
