Job Title: ICT & Security Sales Project Manager

Position Overview:

Uhl Company is seeking an experienced ICT & Security Systems Project Manager to lead integrated low‑voltage, security, and life‑safety projects from pre‑construction and design coordination through installation, commissioning, and closeout.

This role carries full project ownership, including scope, schedule, financial performance, and customer satisfaction and serves as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, field teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical system knowledge and hands‑on construction project management experience in commercial environments. You are expected to promote quality workmanship, accountability and safe work practices. Your contribution to continuous improvement of internal project management processes is anticipated. You are also expected to stay current on evolving ICT, security and life -safety technologies, standards and codes.

Position Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing ICT, security, fire alarm or low voltage construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of BICSI standards, TIA/EIA and NFPA codes (as applicable).
  • Experience coordinating fire alarm systems within commercial construction projects.
  • Experience supporting access control, CCTV, A/V and paging systems.
  • Experience in commercial, healthcare, education, multifamily or institutional environments.
  • Manage multiple ICT, security and low voltage construction projects simultaneously from kickoff through closeout.
  • Maintain accountability for project scope, schedule labor hours, cost control and profitability.
  • Track project progress, labor and costs using internal accounting and project management systems.
  • Identify, price and manage change orders, scope gaps and design impacts.
  • Participate in forecasting, billing coordination, cost reconciliation and project closeout documentation.
  • Must pass background check.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective problem-solving, negotiation and scope controls skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and project / accounting systems.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and solutions focused.

Preferred Certifications & Tools:

  • RCDD certification preferred (not required).
  • Fire alarm certifications or NICET experience a plus.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, D-tools, Bluebeam and Adobe applications preferred.

Systems & Technical Leadership:

This position requires project leadership supported by applied technical expertise. The Project Manager is expected to understand system design intent, identify risks, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide project management, technical oversight, and design coordination for:

  • Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure, including copper and fiber systems.
  • Fire alarm systems (project management, coordination).
  • Access control and intrusion systems.
  • Video surveillance (CCTV).
  • Audio/Visual systems.
  • Paging and mass notification systems.

Core technical responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance with BICSI standards, applicable codes, and industry best practices.
  • Supporting technical system design efforts, including layout coordination, device placement concepts, pathway planning, and constructability reviews.
  • Identifying design gaps and coordination conflicts early and working with engineers, vendors, AHJs, and internal teams to resolve them.
  • Providing ongoing technical guidance to field teams during installation.
  • Supporting commissioning, testing, inspections, and final acceptance to confirm system performance.

Field, Customer & Team Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, general contractors, internal teams, and field personnel.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, coordination meetings, and job progress reviews.
  • Partner closely with field leaders to support scheduling, productivity, and issue resolution.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and resolutions clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and project information.
