Job description

The ICT Shift Lead (Offshift) is a proximity based, technical operations role responsible for ensuring stable, uninterrupted ICT support during 2nd and 3rd shifts across Stellantis Assembly, Stamping, and Powertrain manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary ICT point of contact during off shift production hours, providing hands-on support for shop floor systems, plant infrastructure, and production critical applications.
Reporting to the ICT Site Lead, the ICT Shift Lead ensures operational continuity outside standard business hours, acting as the onsite ICT lead for incidents, escalations, and recovery actions, and coordinating with central ICT, vendors, and dayshift teams as required.
This role requires consistent on-site presence, off-shift and weekend availability, and the ability to respond rapidly to production disruptions.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Site Leadership Backup/ Off-Shift ICT Plant Operations Ownership: Act as the primary backup to the ICT Site Leader, assuming leadership responsibilities during their absence, including decision-making, prioritization, and escalation management.
  • Team Coordination & Oversight: Support the management of ICT personnel, including full-time staff and contract workers, ensuring effective task delegation, performance monitoring, and professional development.
  • IT Operations Support: Ensure uninterrupted ICT support for production systems, corporate applications, and plant infrastructure. Troubleshoot escalated technical issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Shift & Activity Coordination: Maintain smooth operational continuity during shift transitions or site leader absence by documenting ongoing IT activities, projects, and incidents.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for plant management, ICT support teams, and corporate ICT leadership when the site leader is unavailable. Communicate updates, coordinate activities, and ensure alignment with plant objectives.
  • Project & Change Management: Support ICT-related projects, system upgrades, and process improvements under the guidance of the site leader. Facilitate change management and monitor progress. Support and lead initiatives for Digital Transformation Industry 4.0 and IoT.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to ICT policies, corporate standards, and security protocols. Assist in preparing reports on ICT performance, incidents, and system availability as needed

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, IT Management, Business with IT concentration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT or IT operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to support and coordinate ICT teams, including working cooperatively with unionized employees (UAW, Unifor) and contract staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of plant personnel and corporate leadership.
  • Experience supporting ICT projects, production systems, and plant ICT infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated capability to act as a site ICT lead backup, maintaining operational continuity and supporting leadership in their absence.
