North Allegheny School District is one the highest performing public school districts in Pennsylvania and recognized nationally for its focus on academic achievement and growth, future preparation, school climate and student and staff wellness. Located just north of Pittsburgh, it is the largest suburban school district in Allegheny County with over 8,500 students.
The District seeks candidates to fill a Title I Assistant position at McKnight Elementary School, effective August 13, 2026.
A Title I Assistant will provide assistance to students in the Title I Classrooms at the discretion of the classroom teacher and work collaboratively with teachers to provide students with academic support.
Title I Assistant positions work 6 hours per day during the school year only.
Starting Hourly rate will be in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The rate for the 2026-2027 School Year is $19.92/Hour with a comprehensive individual benefit package available.
Minimum Requirements Include 48 credits of a post-secondary education, Associates Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment.
Current clearances are required and include:
  • Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA Criminal Record Check
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
  • Successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment Physical and TB Test.
