General Sales Manager (GSM) — Hyundai Dealership

Location: Gainesville, FL
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Highly competitive base + performance bonus + benefits (details shared with qualified candidates)

The Role

We’re hiring a proven General Sales Manager to lead and scale variable operations at a high-volume Hyundai store. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can drive unit volume, gross, finance penetration, and customer satisfaction

What You’ll Own
  • Lead daily operations for New, Used, Desking, and F&I.

  • Drive high volume + high performance across all key variable KPIs (units, front/back gross, PVR, close rate, F&I product penetration, CSI).

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.

  • Build and enforce a repeatable sales process with accountability.

  • Ensure Hyundai program compliance and execution (incentives, reporting, OEM standards).

  • Manage inventory strategy with Used Car leadership (pricing, appraisals, turn, merchandising, aging).

  • Coordinate with BDC/Internet team to increase set/close rates and improve lead response quality.

  • Run effective daily/weekly cadence: performance reviews, pipeline, training, forecast, and execution.

  • Maintain a culture of performance, professionalism, and customer-first selling.

Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
  • Documented success as a GSM / Sales Manager in a Hyundai dealership (or equivalent senior variable leadership specifically in Hyundai).

  • Proven track record delivering high volume while protecting gross and improving KPI discipline.

  • Strong desking ability and deal structure expertise; understands lenders and subprime dynamics as needed.

  • Ability to coach, inspect, and hold the line—without toxic management or chaos.

  • Strong grasp of modern retail: digital leads, CRM discipline, merchandising, and process control.

Nice-to-Haves
  • History of improving turnover, training, and culture while increasing performance.

  • Experience scaling a store through growth phases (staffing, process building, performance management).

  • Data-driven operator who runs the business by the numbers while keeping morale high and good company culture.
