The Human Resources Generalist supports the Agency's workforce by administering and coordinating key human resources programs that strengthen compliance, employee engagement, performance management, and the overall employee experience. This position is responsible for managing on-boarding and pre-employment processes, maintaining personnel compliance records, coordinating performance appraisals and managing employee engagement initiatives.

What youDeliver

Onboarding and Compliance

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to employee engagement and HR compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements in all employee engagement and compliance.
  • Works with Talent Acquisition Specialist and HRBP's to coordinate and complete I-9 and E-verify.
  • Facilitate the pre-boarding process by working with the pre-hire to complete pre-boarding clearances and documentation in compliance with funder and agency requirements.
  • Ensure all pre-hire files are accurate and complete for all new hires (prior to start date).
  • Maintain employee records form compliance with: Driver's License, vehicle insurance, Safe Haven, TPCN, Professional License, funder background check compliance.
  • Performs audits monthly, yearly, and bi-yearly to accurately ensure online employee files are up to date.
  • Process and review criminal history record information, pre-employment drug tests, references, and other new-hire application materials

Employee Engagement

  • Works with the Human Resources team in the planning, communicating, and tracking of company-wide special events
  • Develop and execute employee engagement programs and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and values.
  • Conduct surveys, analyze data, and identify trends to gauge employee satisfaction and engagement levels.
  • Collaborate with HRBP's to address concerns, enhance employee experience, and foster a positive work culture.
  • Provide guidance and support to HRBP's in creating and maintaining an engaging work environment.
  • Develop and distribute internal communications regarding employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the employee engagement platform with ongoing updates to employee engagement initiatives

Performance Appraisals

  • Manage and administer the Agency's performance management program, including annual and 12-month performance appraisal cycles within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Coordinate and maintain the Agency-wide goal setting process, ensuring alignment between individual, departmental, and organizational objectives.
  • Create, manage, and monitor new hire performance reviews, including 30-, 60-, and 90-day evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding performance management processes, timelines, and requirements.
  • Develop and distribute performance management communications, guidance materials, training resources, and reminders to support employee and manager participation.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness, consistency, and user experience of the Agency's performance management program.

Other Duties

  • Provide notary for HR department and for employees within the agency as needed.
  • Facilitate and support the delivery of new employee orientation to ensure a positive onboarding experience and successful integration into the organization.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support the mission, goals, and operational needs of the organization.

TheExpertiseWe're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and three (3) years of professional Human Resources experience in an HR Specialist,Coordinator, or Generalist role; or
  • High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience in an HR Specialist, Coordinator, or Generalist role.
  • Must have a Notary Certificate, or able to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
