Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated HR intern to assist our HR department with administrative tasks and projects.

The HR intern's duties include updating internal employee databases, data entry, filing HR documents, screening applicant resumes and special projects that support HR and select operational departments. Ultimately, an outstanding HR intern must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; the ability to work independently in MS Office; have at least an introductory base of knowledge related to HR practices and employment law; and a sense of humor!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HRM or studying toward a degree in Human Resources is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a professional environment.
  • Basic understanding of labor laws.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish & English is helpful but not required.

Duration of internship is 3 months and is 30-40 hours per week.ย
