Job Description

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experiencedย Cost Controllerย looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environmentย 

As Cost Controller, you will be involved with:ย 

  • Implement,ย administerย andย maintainย cost control system and procedures to track project budgets, commitments,ย expendituresย and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and valueย 

  • Assistย in the preparation and review of cost estimatesย 

  • Provide cost information to support decision and alternativeย selectionย 

  • Evaluate and analyze fee proposals / bids and provide recommendation for decision makingย 

  • Provide forecasts and cash flow analysisย 

  • Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position.ย 

  • Assistย in the development,ย validationย and maintenance of the project schedule.ย 

  • Assistย in developing reporting tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value.ย 

  • Build intricate spreadsheets to enable fast andย accurateย data manipulation of large datasets.ย 

  • Extract data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs.ย 

  • Reconcile data to support complete accuracy and create a clean audit trail.ย ย 

  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.ย 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying,ย engineeringย or field related to construction.ย 

  • Minimum of 5ย years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry.ย 

  • Experience supportingย cost management on medium orย large sizedย construction projects.ย 

  • Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.ย 

  • Goodย knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management,ย and value engineering.ย ย 

  • Strongย communicationย skills.ย
