Program Overview

The Human Resources Generalist internship prepares active‑duty service members for civilian careers in Human Resources and Workforce Administration. The internship program provides hands‑on practice to learn foundational HR principles while translating military experience into practical HR competencies. Participants will gain exposure to professional standards in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and organizational culture.

Intern Responsibilities
  • Support employees in all areas of the employment life cycle.
  • Respond to employee inquiries.
  • Help manager compliance documentation.
  • Support workplace communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Practice navigating HR software systems and ensuring that policies and processes are followed consistently.
Internship Details
  • Duration: 120–180 days.
  • Schedule: Hybrid remote/onsite.
  • Participants must be an active‑duty service member eligible for SkillBridge (within last 180 days of service) and receive command approval.
  • Degree preferred.
Qualifications
