Job description

HR Works is currently recruiting for an Interim Assistant Benefits & Leave Coordinator based out of our Fairport, NY office. This hybrid opportunity requires a combination of onsite and remote work, with the opportunity for 1-2 remote days per week after successful completion of training. The assignment is expected to run through December 2026 and can be full-time or part-time. Candidates must be available until 7:00 PM ET from October 15 through November 13, with any hours worked between **5:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET performed remotely.
The Assistant Benefits & Leave Coordinator supports employees with benefits and leave-related inquiries and serves as a key point of contact for disability, FMLA, Paid Family Leave, COBRA, benefits eligibility, claim status, and other HR programs. This role combines customer service, administrative support, and case management in a fast-paced HR environment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 1-2 years HR related experience or 4-yr college degree in HR-related field
  • Experience working independently is strongly preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Benefits and/or Leave administration and HRIS experience is a plus!
