Job Summary

The Human Resources Assistant position is designed to support the Human Resources Manager with variety of HR tasks. The Human Resources Assistant will assist HR Manager with hiring process, and other administrative duties including submitting job postings online, scheduling candidate interviews, process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee time records.

Essential Job Duties

  • Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees' hourly rates, WEX enrollments, salaries or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
  • Assist HR Manager with the hiring process, including submitting job postings online, scheduling candidate interviews, and onboarding new staff.
  • Perform administrative work, including scheduling and maintaining files.
  • Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assists with planning and execution of annual enrollments and staff evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in HR-related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in payroll or in 'ADP-Workforce Now' preferred.

Skills
