Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strip rooms assigned for deep cleaning.
Assist Special Project 2 team when available.
High dusting in rooms assigned for deep cleaning.
Detailed interior window cleaning.
Carpet extraction in deep clean rooms as well as spot treatment on ones that need further attention.
Upholstery cleaning scheduled as well as on an as needed basis.
Guest corridor carpet extraction.
Carpet edging - remove excessive dust and stains.
Retrieve trash and run the trash tractor to the composter with full loads of trash.
Assist in repairs on equipment if able.
Properly track and report to Housekeeping Manager of daily assignments.
Place needed rooms out of order for daily assignments and release rooms into a clean status when project is completed.
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Carpet care experience and ability to operate cleaning machines required.
Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
Ability of simple reading, writing, math and complex task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: coordination, precision working, following instructions, and memorization.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous housekeeping experience is preferred or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, frequently balancing, and occasionally sitting during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to constantly push/pull and lift/carry up to 75lbs or less.
The team member will have constant repetitive use of both feet, both hands, light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around electrical devices and mechanical devices.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be quiet or loud at times.
Team member may be exposed to confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions, vibrations, solvents/oils, fumes/odors, dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, slippery surfaces and/or secondhand smoke.
