To address these challenges, it is helpful to establish clear contracts, maintain transparent communication with supervisors or clients, and use time-tracking tools to ensure accurate invoicing and productivity. Building a diverse client base can also help stabilize income over time.

What is an hourly contract?

Hourly contracts are work agreements where an employee or contractor is paid a specific rate for each hour worked, rather than a fixed salary or per-project fee. These contracts are commonly used for temporary, freelance, or part-time work where the hours may vary from week to week. Hourly contracts typically track time worked through timesheets or digital tools, and payment is calculated based on the approved hours. This arrangement provides flexibility for both the worker and the employer, but may not include benefits like health insurance or paid time off.

Job description

About Withings
Withings is a global leader in connected health devices that empower people to take control of their health. Our award-winning products combine elegant design, advanced sensors, and actionable data to help users improve their well-being every day.
We're growing our organic social presence in the U.S. and looking for a creative, outgoing team member who is super comfortable in front of and behind a camera to grow our social media channels and provide general marketing support.
Role Overview
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be the face and hands behind Withings' organic social content - creating, filming, and editing content, engaging with people out in the community, and building our presence across social platforms. This is primarily a content-first role: the ideal candidate is a natural on camera, comfortable approaching strangers, and just as comfortable behind the lens editing what they shot. Beyond content, you'll provide general marketing support across influencer management, partnerships, events, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial, camera-obsessed, and passionate about health, fitness, and community engagement.
This is a long term contract position with the potential to become full time.
What You'll Do
Content Creation & Organic Social (Core Focus)
  • Own and grow our organic social media channels - filming, editing (CapCut or similar), and posting content primarily on Tik Tok.
  • Be super comfortable both in front of and behind the camera - filming yourself and others, as well as shooting and editing content.
  • Engage with people out in the community: street interviews, event coverage, on-the-ground content, photography.
  • Comment on posts and drive engagement across social platforms, primarily Tik Tok.
  • Understand and engage authentically with running and gym/fitness communities.
  • Be a confident, conversational on-camera presence who can strike up conversation with strangers.
General Marketing Support
  • Support influencer management: gifting, LTK, Shop My, and similar platforms.
  • Follow up with influencers to ensure content briefs are followed and posts go live on schedule.
  • Help identify potential new affiliates.
  • Support execution of partnership deliverables: web page mockups (Figma a plus), partnership videos, and basic graphics/design.
  • Submit completed briefs and content requests to the web team via Notion.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for marketing events and activations.
  • Track and report on post-campaign performance to quantify partnership impact.
  • Run a monthly report summarizing all social media post performance.
  • Set up purchase orders for influencers and affiliates.
  • Manage the "little stuff" - the small but essential tasks that keep campaigns moving.

Requirements
Who You Are
  • Super comfortable in front of and behind a camera - this is the most important trait for this role.
  • Outgoing, conversational, and genuinely enjoys engaging with strangers and communities.
  • A portfolio, personal account, or demonstrated content you've created (links/handles requested with application).
  • Experience with CapCut or comparable editing platforms.
  • Autonomous and tech-savvy - comfortable picking up new tools and platforms quickly.
  • Genuine familiarity with running and/or gym/fitness culture and communities.
  • Organized and reliable enough to manage general marketing support tasks alongside content creation.
Bonus Skills (Not Required)
  • Figma experience.
  • Basic graphic design skills.
  • Notion experience.
  • G Suite proficiency.

Benefits
What we offer
  • Competitive hourly pay, overtime eligibility
  • Health coverage options including plans with no employee-paid premiums
  • 6% 401(k) match, life insurance and disability coverage at no cost, employer-funded HSA and commuter FSA.
  • Generous PTO, family leave, and wellness reimbursements - and yes, you'll beta test Withings products.
  • A mission-driven team that genuinely believes the work matters.
