What does a horse farm manager do?

A Horse Farm Manager oversees the daily operations of a horse farm, ensuring the health and well-being of the horses and the maintenance of the facilities. Their responsibilities typically include managing staff, coordinating feeding and care schedules, organizing breeding or training programs, and maintaining records. They may also handle budgeting, purchasing supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety and animal welfare regulations. The role often requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of equine care, and the ability to handle emergencies.

Additionally, managers must ensure clear communication among staff, trainers, and clients to keep the farm running smoothly. Staying organized and proactive is key to overcoming these challenges and maintaining a productive environment.
