Description
  • Equine Care
    • Feed and water horses according to established schedules.
    • Groom horses, including brushing, hoof cleaning, and basic tack maintenance.
    • Monitor each horse's health and behavior; promptly report any signs of illness, injury, or distress to the Farm Manager.
    • Assist with turnout and bring-in routines, ensuring paddocks and pastures are secure.
  • Stall and Barn Maintenance
    • Clean and bed stalls daily: remove manure, distribute fresh bedding, and sanitize feeders/water buckets.
    • Maintain cleanliness of aisles, tack rooms, grooming areas, and wash racks.
    • Sweep walkways and gather debris to prevent slips and falls.
    • Ensure all tools, equipment, and supplies (shovels, pitchforks, wheelbarrows, grooming tools) are cleaned and stored properly after use.

Position Requirements
  • Experience & Knowledge
    • Prior experience working on a horse farm, stable, or similar agricultural environment preferred.
    • Basic understanding of horse behavior, health indicators, and safe handling practices.
    • Familiarity with equine feeding schedules, grooming techniques, and stall-cleaning procedures.
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Strong work ethic with the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods (lifting, bending, shoveling).
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively under minimal supervision.
    • Excellent communication skills-comfortable working with a small team and taking direction.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Physical Requirements

    • Comfortable standing, walking, and handling physical tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.
