MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local clients are NOW HIRING for 2nd Shift Stand Up Forklift Operator in the Indianapolis, IN, area!
Position: Stand-up Forklift Operator
Pay: $19.00
Shifts: 2:00PM-10:30PM, (Some overtime required)
Location: Park100
Job summary: The Forklift Operator will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Forklift operators will also be required to operate various forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, stand-up reach, and order picker.

Duties:
  • Must be proficient in all Forklift Operating SOPs for the assigned Warehouse area
  • Utilize industrial power equipment to raise and lower materials to storage locations
  • Deliver materials from storage/staging locations to the specified department or shipping dock
  • Able to take on multiple tasks while executing daily operations safely and professionally
  • Demonstrates safety and conducts him/herself in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times, including accurate completion of all pre-shift equipment checks
  • Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tanks
  • Wrap and placard materials accurately and appropriately before moving them to a storage area
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
  • Operate or tend automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Stand Up and Tall Reach Forklift Operator.
  • Must have the ability to understand oral and written instructions in English
  • Must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills
  • Forklift certification required
  • Must have completed the Forklift I Matrices Sign-Off Sheets and been approved by an operations Manager.
  • Must be able to physically perform the functions of stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Must possess visual acuity to complete visual quality checks
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • May be subject to seasonal temperature extremes
Work Environment:
  • Industrial food manufacturing facility with temperature-controlled work area. Must follow Good Manufacturing specific dress code with no jewelry, no nail polish, no artificial nails, must wear long pants with no holes or rips, and use of lab coats.
PPE Requirements:
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and safety shoes.
